Saturday (3/30) saw not only sunshine in the Puget Sound region, but a minus tide as well. I took the opportunity to walk the beach south of the Edmonds off leash dog park towards Pt. Wells in the hopes of finding the Pt. Edwards and/or Pt. Wells pair of bald eagles down on the beach. Failing that, I still got some nice shots looking west across the Sound and up the bluffs to the west.

It was quite hazy out. I had heard that a circular polarizing filter can minimize the haze, so I attached one to the 100-400L telephoto zoom on my 5D Mk III.

Two of man's best friends south of the off-leash dog park. I have never figured out why dogs enjoy swimming in the frigid waters of Puget Sound.

Really nice pictures, Bill. What grabs my eye the most in all of these is the deep blue sky.

Wow, I seem to have been missing that here in NW Oregon in the past several months.

Thanks for sharing!

Chad

I think the blue of the sky was enhanced by the circular polarizing filter. Those with more experience in the use of a CPF may wish to comment.
