went to Sprague's Pond this afternoon to see what i could see... light looked good when i left home, but by the time i got there, this one damned cloud had parked itself in front of the sun, and wouldn't move. finally the sun broke through around 5 o'clock and i got some decent light. right on cue, this little one popped out of the thicket and gave me some photo ops...

One of my favorite little brown birds. They can be extremely loud for their small size.

they can indeed. i remember the first time i saw one singing, i was shocked at the volume that came out of that tiny little body!
