Although most of my attention is/was on the oystercatcher families, there's usually a small flock of Black Turnstones frequenting the same area. They're pretty spread out at low tide but they come together when the high tide covers all but a few rocks.
A kayak is the only way to go.

Nice captures. Also, a rather photogenic bird!

Black Turnstones continue to get in my way as I try to paddle around the rocks north of Larrabee State Park. This one was just off my bow as I sat in my beached kayak trying to grab a bite of lunch yesterday.
