this gaggle of Brant geese flew by the pier yesterday afternoon... lousy light, but we take what we can get...

The Brant feed on a patch of eel grass north of Brackett's Landing. The tide is finally low enough in February where they can reach the grass. They will fly past the fishing pier during their commutes between Brackett's Landing and Marina Beach.
