Went to Field's Riffle in Snohomish on Tuesday and spotted a juvie lazuli bunting and a juvie common yellowthroat within about 15-20 feet of each other in a blackberry bramble hedge. Seemed like an auspicious place to set up shop, so I set up my tripod and waited. Before long, I had shots of a male bunting AND a male yellowthroat, both bringing meals for their young 'uns. I wasn't able to get any feeding shots, as the youngsters had retreated mostly out of sight in the brambles, but it was definitely fun to catch these two colorful little birds so close together...
