Several pairs of cinnamon teal have been hanging around a pond in Kent... finally bit the bullet and fought the traffic down there for a look, and got some nice shots...

Just chillin'...

One second he was swimming along, the next, he bolted...barely got him in the frame, off to the left side, and the shutter was about half a millisecond too slow to really freeze things, but I kinda like the shot anyway. Cropped to a square to retain the reflection...

Nice shots. I have never seen one.
Thanks! They're not common around here, but seem to appear sporadically in very localized areas. Last time I saw one in this area was at Juanita Bay about 10 years ago. Saw a pair at Ridgefield in 2014, but hadn't had a chance to get shots of any since, so it was nice to get to see this one!
