here are a couple of in-flight shots i managed to get at the park this past weekend... all with the 7D and 100-400...

a male hooded merganser bookin' it across the bay... he was about 40 yards away, and the light was fading fast, so it took some work to recover this image, but i was rather pleased with the result... 365mm, 1/2000 @ f/5.6, ISO 400

this juvenile bald eagle flew over a couple of times, then left to roost in a favorite fir tree at the edge of the lake... 365mm, 1/1300 @ f/5.6, ISO 400
