took advantage of a glorious fall day and headed over highway 2 yesterday... there were some nice spots of color, though i was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more color over the mountains. a couple of spots that were just gorgeous last year at this time have barely started to change this year. i did manage a few keepers, though... here are a couple.
a shot along the Skykomish River, just this side of the bridge at Index...
an old barn along the road about 20 miles west of Leavenworth...

Good shots. In your quest for autumn colors, be sure to check out state hwy. 10 between Cle Elem and Ellensburg. It follows the upper Yakima Canyon and can have good autumn colors.

Nice shots, Rocky. Makes me want to pack a BIG lunch and head east up the Mt. Baker Hwy.
