The RWBBs were merciless this afternoon at Juanita Bay Park... All this heron wanted was some fish, but the blackbirds were relentless and would not leave him alone. In spite of the distractions, however, he managed to catch a couple of nice catfish about an hour apart...

Herons don't bother the turtles... apparently they've learned that the turtles are too hard to "open", and not worth the effort. I've never seen a heron attack one, though I suppose it might if it was desperately hungry...
