found this little guy hammerin' away on a tree about 6 feet away from where a sapsucker was working on a nesting hole... 7D, 600mm, 1/2000 @ f/8

Good shots, Rocky. Monday I saw a flicker, pileated, red-breasted sapsucker, and hairy. My failure to see a downy kept me from making a clean sweep of our local woodpeckers, but between the two of us, we saw them all. :cool:

Great downy shots, Rocky....nice to see you today - hopefully something, bird wise, showed up after I left - its tradition! :)
