Edmonds Fishing Pier Closure

bummer! i don't get down there all that often, so it's not a huge deal, and by March i'll probably be starting to shoot elsewhere more often anyway, but still, the pier was a good spot. hopefully the repairs will be completed ahead of schedule...
 
Just a reminder that the Edmonds fishing pier will be closed for extensive repairs starting Monday (3/14/16) and is not expected to reopen until July. The number of winter migrants spending the winter around the marina and fishing pier appears to be down this year, so it is a good time for repairs from an avian photography standpoint. The people who regularly fish at the pier will not be pleased with the closure, but they should be happy with the improvements after repairs are completed.

The juvie seal that has taken up residence inside the marina this winter will probably leave for quieter quarters.
