this GBH really didn't want the egret hanging around... the heron repeatedly stalked the egret and forced it to take flight to escape. the egret would fly 20 or 30 yards and land to resume fishing, and the heron would watch for a while and then start stalking the egret again. the happened 6 or 8 times in the hour or so i spent watching them, until the egret finally had enough and flew off.

went back to the Everett marina today hoping the egret would be back... no sign of it. :( don't know if it's moved on, or just was spending the day somewhere else...
 
Daren and I ran into Jerome today at the Edmonds marsh. I think we will go up to Everett to look for the egret Wednesday.
