My son and I visited the Everett marina Thursday (7/13/17) afternoon.

Activity at the great blue heron rookery at the far eastern end of the marina provided numerous photo ops.

I counted six osprey nests in the marina, there are probably more. The one closest to the parking lot has three chicks. Feeding them keeps the adults busy.

Two adult eagles flew over the marina that I believe are a pair residing on Jetty Island. An osprey joined the gulls in chasing this one back to the island. The osprey are probably used to defending their nests from the eagles.

We had to leave before the tide came in far enough to start the terns diving for fish.
