Fern Canyon #1

I did a photo hike of Fern Canyon a couple of years ago...ran across some of the shots...CC's are okay...it was really overcast so I did the best I could around the bad weather and people that kept getting in my way...

I did not stage this...I found it just like this..

enjoy...I have bunches more I took close to 300 photos...I'll post them soon

Great set, Christena. I love the shot of the Oyster mushrooms. They sell the cultivated version of those in the grocery store.

Sorry to steal your thunder, Christena.

Fern Canyon is south of Crescent City on the northern California coast, Bob. There is a great set of trails that wind through this area.

Thanks for the comments...I would like to go back on a better weather day sometime...Bob, they also filmed parts of Jurriasic Park 2 there.

An overcast day is a good thing for photos. The use of the light on these is great. The first and last ones are A+ on light usage and composition.

Great shots. I prefer shooting in the forest on an overcast day. The colors are more natural.

Thank you so much for the positive comments....it was not only overcast but cold and misty etc....but I do understand that sunlight could cause issues...I'm just a bit wussy All in all it was a great day!!
