lil fox, again

took my daughter up to Mt. Rainier today so she could see the fox kits in person. only one was out, and he seemed a bit at loose ends. mom had just left (we saw her trotting up the road as we were driving toward the den), and his den-mate was not in evidence. it was cloudy and much cooler, so we didn't stay all that long, but this time i had the 100-400 with me and got some nice close-up, full-frame shots...

Very nice. I love those eyes. I was supposed to get down there last week but failed. Now I'm heading down to camp this coming weekend. Hope to find them somehow!

Max, I was up there last week, and looked hard for the kits. Found mom and dad (or so I presume) but the kits proved elusive.

You're right, the eyes are what make the shot, especially the second one!
