yeah, i know, i post too many wood duck photos... so sue me! ;) but these little fellas are just SO photogenic, especially when the light hits 'em right, like this. this little guy swam by less than 30 feet in front of me, and with the wonderful light, i just couldn't pass up the shot... 7D, 150-600 @ 350mm, 1/200 @ f/8...

Some wood ducks and a barred owl have been spotted in Pine Ridge Park, which is at the end of my court. I'll have to investigate, as that is the only place I have heard of wood ducks being spotted in Edmonds.
