just a little practice with long exposure HDR stuff. this is only my 4th time trying an HDR image. its a little overdone, but i will include the +2ev of the image for comparison.
C&C would be great.

It's all a matter of taste. "Overdone" to some might not be enough for others.
I like it. This was a great choice for HDR.
I'm digging the muted tones in the city, in the HDR. It brings the focus back to the Gasworks. As opposed to the +2, where the colorful city lights are really the draw.

This looks like a natural subject for HDR. I think it works pretty well. The only thing isn't so appealing to me is the halo that surrounds the structure. It appears to be backlit or something. I guess that must be just a by-product of the HDR process.

Mike, yes, those dang halos are a product of HDR. They're annoying, and very difficult to get rid of. In fact, they're the easiest way to spot an HDR photo, just look for that type of halo!
This isn't a critique of this particular photo, but rather HDR technology in general.
The halo is mostly the HDR but if you look at the hill that the bridge disappears behind in the +2ev you can see the ambient city light haloing it as well. In this case I'm assuming the HDR process enhances these lights causing the halo. with HDR in general the shadow/highlight, contrast, detail, brightness and other sliders all factor in at some point.
