went over to the park across the street this evening... nowhere near as good for birding as the one i visit in Kirkland, but it's got the decided advantage of being less than a hundred yards away... anyway, i wandered over to see what i could see, and got these... i think i'm gonna like this camera!
a northern flicker - he was bein' a butthead and wouldn't turn around, so this was the best i could get... :-\
Beautiful Rocky! I love how crisp the shots are and still full of character in both of the birds. (You must have a very nice camera because it takes such nice photos.)
Good shots. Once you get the auto focus system adjusted for birds in flight, you will be amazed at how many avian action shots you will get that would have out of focus with your 5D Mk II.
