probably shoulda gone down there 3 weeks ago, but this little fella is still all fuzzy an' stuff... he was about 50-60 yards away, so a pretty long shot, even for the new Tamron, but hey... I at least got a couple of shots of the little guy! 7D, 150-600 @ 500-600mm, 1/1600 @ f/8...
Perfect! I was wondering how those owls were doing up there. That owlet is branching, which means, it will be spending most of it's time out of the nest and wondering around on different limbs in that area. I'd keep up on it, Rocky!
Are there any other owlets poking around in the nest?
thanks, Chad. there was one peering out of the nest - at least I think it was the nest - all I could see was the top of its li'l head and one eye... this one was in a completely different tree probably a hundred yards away. there was pretty much no activity there today, but the parking lot was overflowing from all the folks trying to see the owlets, and cars were parked along the entrance road halfway to the freeway... lots of long lenses and binoculars...
