got this shot of a young red-shafted flicker taking off from a branch down at Juanita this afternoon... 550mm, 1/2000 @ f/7.1

also got some shots of a black-headed grosbeak... first one i've seen there in 8 or 9 years... 550mm, 1/3200 @ f/7.1

Good catch on the grosbeak. Shade covered parks will be a good place to hang out during this weekend's "heat wave."
