got some nice shots of a cedar waxwing down at Juanita this afternoon... he was in a willow tree about 15-18 feet away, and down low enough for a good angle. first shot is full frame, second is cropped slightly... 7D, 400mm, 1/125 @ f/7.1

Good shots. I have not seen any yet this year, but I'll admit to be preoccupied with owls, eagles, and osprey.
 
thanks, Bill... i try not to get preoccupied with any one species, and take advantage of whatever presents itself... ;)
