this little fella came in quite a bit closer than usual. it was late afternoon/early evening, so the light was nice, and he posed for me among the lily pads... had quite a stretch toward the end! 7D, 400mm, f/8 @ 1/1000-1/1250. i had the ISO at 800 to keep the speed up for BIFs, and just never bothered to change it... ;)

thank you, Terry! this little fella was in close, only about 30 feet away, resting among the lily pads in some nice light.. couldn't resist!
