Last weekend was my 45 year high school class reunion in Lewiston, ID. For the first time in twenty years, I did not ride my motorcycle to Lewiston. I took the F-150 as I wanted to take along my photography equipment and spend time photographing things I usually would just ride past.
On Thursday (8/8) I hiked up to the summit of Kamiak Butte in the +90*F heat. Most of the birds I saw along the way were flycatchers.
Olive-sided flycatcher. It was noticebly larger than the other flycatchers. It also remained relatively stationary and did not flit around like the others.

Mystery flycatchers. Any help in identifying them is appreciated.

Another common bird was the mourning dove.

Chipmunks were plentiful. I think this is a yellow pine chipmunk.
