this little killdeer was doing its best "walk like an Egyptian" imitation along the top of a plank at Sprague's Pond a few days ago. taken a bit after 5 PM, so the light wasn't great, but the lighter background helped keep the ISO down to a manageable level....

Good shot. It's easy to ignore killdeer since they are so common in our area. Sprague Pond is a safe place to photograph when there are high winds like the past few days.
