a few miles west of Multnomah Falls along the scenic highway (Oregon 30) that parallels I-84 is Latourell Falls, a 249-foot drop over a columnar basalt cliff. to give you a sense of scale, see the people just above the large boulder at the base of the falls... 5D, 24-135 @ 28mm, .6 sec @ f/11...
This is really cool, which trail leads to the bottom of the falls?

thanks, everyone!
Yelena, the lower trail leads from the right end of the parking lot, just a few feet from the road, down to the bottom of the falls. it's a paved trail, only about 500 feet to the falls. the upper trail to the viewpoint leads up the hill from the back side of the parking lot.

Latourell is such a beautiful falls. I especially love the green lichen growing on the cliff. Some fantastic formations of ice form at the top in the winter.
