least sandpipers up close

there was a small flock of these little guys on the logs at the Everett marina this evening... they showed up just about sundown, so the light wasn't great, but they were out in the open on the logs and less than 30 feet away, so of course i had to grab some shots since these little guys are usually so hard to get close to...

It is hard to imagine how small least sandpipers are until you see them up close and personal.

The least sandpiper is the smallest sandpiper, barely the size of a marsh wren.

the least sandpiper is a good bit smaller than a dunlin... they're really quite small.
