Went out this afternoon for a couple of hours, in spite of the wind, hoping to find something worth a shot... really, just to get outside for a while... and wound up at Legion Park in Everett. Saw an eagle flying over the golf course, and as I walked toward the southern tip of the arboretum, I saw a pair of them on a rather large nest. Judging by the size, it's been in use for some time - the tree it's in is a good 70-80 feet tall. Anyway, shortly after I got this shot, both eagles flew off, and did not return. Finally the light gave out and I gave up... still, although it's a long shot (100 yards or more) to the nest, it is pretty much in the open, and might be worth revisiting as the spring goes on.
