Lesser goldfinches were until recently very rare in Washington, but in the last 8-10 years have apparently been slowly expanding their range farther north, and are now occasionally seen in the Puyallup area, as well as north of Seattle, and farther south toward Portland. This little guy has been hanging around a park in Centralia...
