Went up to Blaine today to find the elusive long-tailed duck... had never seen one before. Spent a couple of hours looking with no luck, and when the fog rolled in, I figured my quest was doomed, but then about 45 minutes before the light went away completely, three of these little beauties showed up just off the docks on the north side of Semiahmoo spit... not the best light, and they weren't super close, but I'm happy enough to have finally seen one!
