in my heron post from today, i mentioned that the GBH was the only obvious target i saw at Juanita this afternoon... less easily seen, but very definitely heard, was this little marsh wren who kept flitting about back in the cattails. like most of his ilk, the little stinker never came out in the open, so i was forced to catch what i could between the cattail reeds...

Marsh wrens are the curmudgeons of the marsh. They curse you, moon you, then disappear into the cattails.
