took advantage of some rare Seattle sunshine this afternoon and stopped off at Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland. this used to be one of my favorite haunts, but since i moved out of Kirkland, i don't get there very often anymore. it was cold, and there wasn't much in the way of critters, but just as i was about to leave, i spotted this lone pintail in the midst of a gaggle of mallards, coots and teals. he swam close along the shoreline, and gave me this nice photo op... 40D, 100-400 @ 190mm, 1/100 @ f/5.6 ...
The light was really good today wasn't it? I was in Seattle for sunrise this morning, and the reflections on the buildings were incredible, really wished I could have stopped and taken photos.
