My wife and spent a wet Thursday and Friday at the park - the highlight was the Oyster Catchers - they were at West Beach in the mornings and early evening - absent during the rest of the day.
These were taken with either the Canon 7D or 5Diii and the 400+1.4x or 500+1.4x
I monitored four nests last year, via kayak, so the numbers are building up here. The most accessible site is near Larrabee State Park and the same pair is back again, staking out the site.
We camped there last October and that part of West Beach is a great spot for oystercatchers and good numbers of Heermann's Gulls during migration. Good stuff.
