Photos of the Year on other sites

We're certainly not the only place to think of the idea of posting the best shots from 2009.

Many photography shots post a "best of last year" set of photos every year. Since it may also be the end of the decade (depending on which mathemetician you believe it ends in either 2009 or 2010...) there are plenty of "shots of the decade" collections out there too.

I'll post links to a few of my favorites.

Time Magazine photos of the year.

Since Time is a news magazine, this gallery is light on fluffy puppies and heavy on news and current events. Rather than just pretty pictures, this is a more serious look at last year.

Of course, since it's Time, the photojournalism is excellent.

National Geographic Top 10

A little bit late on this one, but the photos are still worth viewing. National Geographic is well known for its incredible photography, some of the best of the best, and these shots are the editor's favorites from 2009, so you know they're impressive!
