so, i just got the Topaz "collection" - the PhotoFX Lab and a dozen or so plugins for various effects - and have been fooling around with it for the past 45 minutes or so, getting the feel of how it works, which ones do what, that sort of thing. while it'll never replace photoshop, it's definitely got some interesting capabilities which i will explore as i learn how to use them. meanwhile, here's my first "doodle", a shot i processed using the Adjust and Lens Effects tools.

this is the original image; i purposely selected a crappy exposure just to see what Topaz could do with it...

here's the same image after processing... quite a bit more heavy-handed than i normally prefer, but as i said, this basically playin' in the sandbox while i learn how to make these plug-ins do what i want...

Nice range there. I've never used Topaz. Looks like it could do justice for a good exposure image. Maybe you can show us a before and after on a decent image once you're out of the sandbox which shouldn't take long.
