went back down to Carnation this afternoon to see if I could get some shots of the pygmy owl in better light than I had last time. well, the light was better, definitely, but I had to contend with a couple of pesky twigs on the branch he was perched on... I guess there's always something, huh? but that Tamron lens is very sharp - the only sharpening these required was to compensate for compression when I resized these for the web... shot at 550mm, 1/800 @ f/9 using a monopod.
