Randy Oxford Band at Jazzbones 12/27/13

Every year the Randy Oxford Band does a "The Day After Christmas" show at Jazzbones in Tacoma. This year's show was delayed a day from the traditional 26th schedule, but the place was still packed!

It's a really cool venue, but the lighting is terrible.

Nice set, I like the second one a lot. The shots with colored lights look sweet IMO.

Those are very good shots, especially considering how the lighting is usually very bad in that type of venue.

Thanks, I also like the colored lights, they add to the concert look. They can be a challenge to shoot though!

Thanks Bill! The light in this venue is very difficult. Luckily I work with the band, and they allow me to use fill flash. That helps get a good look in the images.

Here's what you get without flash:

You can white balance that a bit, but it's still not good...
