Went to explore the Hawks Prairie Ponds in Lacey this afternoon, in spite of the gray, gloomy weather... cabin fever was setting in and I had to get out of the apartment... anyway, I'd heard there was a red-headed duck there, and since I didn't have any photos of one of those, I figured I'd go have a look. Sure enough it was there, all by itself, hanging out with some ringnecks... handsome fellow, for sure! May go back later this coming week, if the promisted sun breaks appear, and see if I can get him in some better light!
