a red-necked grebe put in an appearance at the marina a couple of days ago... being a diving water bird, the rain didn't bother it at all. wish i could say the same for me!! though i did manage to stay dry enough inside a small shelter on the pier...

LOL! that would be the less common southern red-necked grebe, only found in the southeastern part of the country...
