Found this handsome specimen perched on a dead snag alongside highway 542 this afternoon... of course, i just HAD to stop and take a few shots...

thanks, Bill... you're right. they're infamous for playing "power-pole leapfrog", moving to another, farther perch as soon as you stop the car. this one was quite cooperative, though... stayed put on his snag about 25 yards away, in perfect light, and posed long enough to get about a dozen frames... i even got out of the car to shoot and he didn't move!
