went out to Kayak Point park this afternoon, hadn't been there in years, and thought i'd see if i remembered it right. i did. while i was there, i managed a couple of shots of one of the gulls that were flying around... i don't normally waste memory space on sea gulls, but spring's coming, and i wanted to practice my BIF technique... ;) 5D2, 24-105 @ 105mm (yep, these are cropped!), 1/500-1/800 @ f/6.3

Jonathon Livingston Seagull would not like to hear you talking of wasting memory on a seagull :D.

I like them against the blue sky.

Good shots. I feel the same way about these feathered beach rats, but every so often one presents a shot that you cannot pass up.
