I took a quick trip over the mountains to Ellensburg to see my daughter earlier this week and on the way home got sidetracked through the Yakima Canyon and then White Pass looking for critters. I only had the 70-200 with me on one body and boy I sure could have used it for a really long shot of 9 bighorn rams lying on a hillside 3/4+ mile away across the Canyon.
Here's a few of the other shots though...
Two lovely ladies standing near the turn off of Hwy 12 that goes to Stevens Canyon in Mt Rainier NP
A nice collection of ewes that I almost had as hood ornaments about 5 miles above Oak Creek along the Tieton River.
Thsi one's not so clear as it's a severe crop of a shot of the rams across the canyon, even in the full sized uncropped shot it's hard to make them out.
Once I get some more time I will put up a few shots from along Skate Creek Road. Right now it's great with lots of water coming off the hillsides into the creek, also good for heavy moss covered alders.
