A rather noisy flicker and a very busy nut hatch in my Seattle yard.

The nuthatch looks like its modeling for you! Very nice image and bokeh too!
Ummm, Mr Flicker, that birdhouse is just a little too small for you. LOL
Your flickers are more cooperative than mine. I've yet to get a good image of them.

The nuthatches in my backyard imbed the seeds they get from my bird feeders into the cracks in the bark of my Doug firs. It looks like the one in your photo is trying to do the same.
 
Yes, that is exactly what appeared to be happening with the nuthatch. It got my attention when I saw it flying back and forth so many times. Thanks for the all the comments everyone.
