went down to Edmonds this afternoon, in hopes of seeing the eagles... i just missed one, apparently, while trying to find a parking place!! i hung around for about an hour and a half, no eagles, so i headed up to Brackett's Landing, just north of the ferry dock. there was quite a bit of activity there... red-breasted mergansers, cormorants, herons, and one lone grebe all fishing on the north side of the jetty. the tide was out, so i wound up shooting at more of a "down angle" than i'd have liked, but what're ya gonna do? anyway, here are a few shots from the afternoon...
cormorant with lunch... 400mm, 1/200 @ f/11
male red-breasted merganser, 400mm, 1/400 @ f/11
GBH flying across the bay... 400mm, 1/1600 @ f/6.3
