North Snohomish County 2/9/14

Sunday (2/9) my son was in the Special Olympics regional basketball tournament held at Stanwood. His team was eliminated after the second game, so we hit some bird spots on the way back home. The light was not very good, so I went more for the artsy/surreal/ethereal effect rather than my usual action shots.

These were taken north of Stanwood at a DFW site known as The Big Ditch.

A kestrel at the end of Boe Road.

There are lots of eagles perched in trees along the Stillaguamish River next to Norman Road near its intersection with the Pioneer Hwy. north of Sylvana.

Looks like you made good use of your time up there, Bill :). Looks like they got less snow than we did.
