got some shots of another female flicker feeding her little ones in their nest at Juanita Bay... this nest is in a weeping willow that's still alive, rather than the dead snag the other nest was in... not sure how long it'll keep standing, given that some branches are dead, and the flickers were able to make their nest in the middle of the trunk, but for now at least, it's still there. there are at least two little ones in the nest, possibly three... it was hard to tell since really only one at a time could get its head out the hole!
Great shots Rocky! I got some of this nest as well, but they didn't turn out as nice. They've been there for a while, it seems like it's about time for them to fledge.

thanks, Tyler! yeah, the youngsters look about ready to strike out on their own... i've been sorta watching them for a little while, got some shots about a week ago, though these are a bit better. i expect that nest will be empty in another week at most.
