Lat week I paid a visit to the Dalles Mountain Ranch on the fringes of the Columbia Gorge. It's one of the first places to find spring wildflowers. Although this year not quite as many.

The photographer I visited with gets into her work. Me, I'm a bit shy about picking up ticks, which are common there.

You have ample views of the Columbia Gorge, but there was a bit of haze that day.

Pretty flowers, best in the morning or as the sun sets to take advantage of the low rays light.

There are some great old homesteads nearby too, but they are on working ranches, no trespassing signs are abundant. Good vantage points are hard to find.

In the park there is a display of old farm equipment that makes for great shots too. I'll leave those shots to you.

Oh, oh, I see some sensor dust on a couple shots  , gotta clean those up  Happy shooting.

I love that area. I've spent some time near Dufur/Dalles/White River. It's amazingly gorgeous in the spring!

You got some great shots. I love number 1. And the shot of the Lupin bud is super, as well.

Nice! :)

Great shots. That's good to hear you honor no trespassing signs. So many of the landscape photographers in our area do not.

I believe it is important to respect property rights. I had to hold back my shooting partner. The shot of her is on State Park Land.

Last one (7) Some might think the background across the gorge is too soft, but focusing on the building and getting the backround of a few miles is hard to do, it worked in your favor on this one, soft but, (cant think of words) still pops.
