spotted some buffleheads winging across the lagoon at Juanita Bay Park this afternoon, and thought i'd try and get some shots...

Yes, very nice! Folks, if you haven't tried this, you may not realize just how hard that shot is. Tack sharp, excellent depth of field, only the wingtips blurred.
The technical term for that is "NAILED IT!"

i gotta admit, these little fellas are a challenge to shoot in flight... they're just SO bloody fast! i always like it when i can get 'em in motion and still see the iridescence on their li'l heads...

I like all 3 but the first jumps out with the dark swirls in the water.
