For several years now, Glaucous-winged Gulls have been nesting on a 10" cornice on top of the old Bellingham National Bank building in the heart of downtown. Chicks are pretty much stuck 70' above the sidewalk until they fledge or get plucked away by an eagle or Red-tailed hawk.
