caught this little Anna's perched momentarily - VERY momentarily! - on a branch down at Juanita the other day... though i followed her for a good 15 minutes, she wouldn't give me the flash of magenta under her throat, nor hover in one place long enough to even get the lens on her for a flight shot... had to settle for this "resting" shot from about 10 feet away. but i'll take it nonetheless... 7D, 550mm, 1/2000 @ f/6.3

Good shot. It is very difficult to capture the female's red throat because it is so small.
