This little guy showed up this afternoon with a flock of gold-crowned sparrows working on some blackberry bushes. White-throated sparrows are considered uncommon to rare in Washington, appearing in fall and usually staying the winter. They are much more common in the eastern half of the country. I saw my first one last winter, and managed some murky photos of one, but had been hoping ever since to get one in some decent light. My patience was rewarded this afternoon, as this little fellow showed up with a flock of golden-crowned sparrows here in Chehalis...
